The Right to a Lawyer is Not Guaranteed for Everyone
Today we are featuring an
ABA Death Penalty Representation Project highlighting the Association's efforts to provide
pro-bono attorneys to those that need it most;
indigent defendants on death row. Currently there's no federal constitutional right to an attorney in state post-conviction proceedings. The ABA's Death Penalty Representation Project is an initiative designed to pair skilled competent lawyers with inmates on death row. This inspiring 10 min. video highlights the great efforts and successes of the Death Penalty Representation Project but also highlights the evening greater needs of the indigent.
