It now appears that the alleged perpetrators of a North Jersey carjacking murder at Short Hills Mall will face state and not federal charges when they are arraigned on Wednesday in Essex County Superior Court
. There was discussion among officials, however, that the four defendants could've been charged and tried in federal court.
