UPDATE: The entire New Jersey Judiciary and its court facilities in all 21 counties are closed today, Monday, October 29th and on Tuesday, October 30th as Hurricane Sandy bears down upon the East Coast of the United States. Typically, each county’s assignment judge makes an independent decision whether to close county court facilities and reschedule court proceedings due to severe weather events like snowstorms. A statewide shutdown is unique and underscores the seriousness of this storm. Our DeMichele & DeMichele offices are also closed today, October 29th out of concern for our clients and employees. We will regularly update this blog post as Hurricane Sandy develops. Safety is paramount! Everyone is encouraged to stay off the roads if possible over the next 24-48 hours. DeMichele & DeMichele clients are encouraged to check this site regularly concerning our office’s status for tomorrow, Tuesday, October 30, 2012, and the rest of the week. For the latest official information from state authorities, New Jersey residents should check www.ready.nj.gov and, for the court system specifically, visit www.judiciary.state.nj.us.
