Another great result for a firm client in Pennsauken Municipal Court

NJ traffic stop.

Recently, one of our clients was charged with five motor vehicle violations:

  • N.J.S.A. 39:4-85 (Passing on the Shoulder)
  • N.J.S.A. 39:4-88 (b) (Failure to Maintain Lane)
  • N.J.S.A. 39:4-57 (Failure to comply with Officer Commands)
  • N.J.S.A. 39:4-89 (Tailgating) N.J.S.A. 39:4-96 (Reckless Driving) and
  • N.J.S.A. 39:4-97 (Careless Driving).
If convicted of all charges, our client would have been assessed 20 points and his driver’s license would have been suspended. He also would have been assessed substantial fines. After a review of the state’s case against our client and extensive negotiation with the municipal prosecutor, our office was able to plead the Defendant to a reduced charge that had no points. Our client was able plead guilty to NJSA 39: 4-67, commonly referred to as Obstructing Traffic, and received no points on his driving record.  You can review the NJ MVC point schedule by clicking here.
